This commission was for a detached house on the outskirts of Hemel Hempstead, surrounded by an acre of mature trees and wildlife. The owners, passionate about gardening and biodiversity, aimed to integrate the renovated house with the outdoor spaces. An unused swimming pool was transformed into a natural swimming pond, connected to the house by an extended deck. A significant part of the garden was cleared and reseeded to create a vibrant wildflower meadow, supplemented with additional plant plugs and spring bulbs, showcasing the owners’ commitment to enhancing the site’s biodiversity.
